The application and evaluation process for the “Student Innovation Hub” competition and its high school edition has officially concluded. Four outstanding projects\u2014three student-led and one developed by a high school student\u2014have been selected for funding.<\/p>\n

The winning proposals stood out with their originality, applicability, and development potential. The selected teams will receive financial support to implement their ideas between March and November 2025.<\/p>\n

Funded University Student Projects:<\/h3>\n

\ud83d\udd39 \u201cCarbon Footprint Evaluation System for Student Dormitories\u201d<\/strong>
Team: Mihail Dimitrov, Ivan Ivanov, and Aleksandar Dilchev
Mentor: Assist. Prof. Kalin Filipov
This project aims to develop a digital system for calculating and visualizing CO\u2082 emissions in TU-Sofia\u2019s student dormitories to promote environmental awareness and responsible energy use among students.<\/p>

\ud83d\udd39 \u201cEmbedded Plant Monitoring System with Mobile App\u201d<\/strong>
\nAuthor: Veselin Gospodinov
\nThe project envisions an automated monitoring and irrigation system for houseplants, using an ESP32 microcontroller and a mobile app that notifies users of critical environmental changes.<\/p>\n

\nThrough 3D printing technology, the project will design, manufacture, and test various components for high-performance race cars, ultimately integrating them into a real vehicle for evaluation.<\/p>
