The Technical University of Sofia Selected the Best Student Projects for Funding in 2024

The evaluation of the second stage of the “Student Innovation Hub” contest – 2024 session, organized by the Technical University of Sofia, has been completed. During this stage, 35 students demonstrated their innovative ideas through 16 projects, each showing excellent skills and creativity. After careful review and assessment, the seven-member jury selected 10 projects for funding recommendation to the Rector:
Alexander Tsvetomilov Dilchev’s project “Polychromatic Lighting System for Winter Sports under Various Meteorological Conditions,” mentored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitar Todorov Pavlov, FEE.
Bilyana Genova’s project “Biosphere for Plant Cultivation,” mentored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boryana Georgieva Georgieva, FM.
Bilyana Markova’s and Dimitar Todorov’s project “Prototype of a Micro-Water Turbine Generating Energy for Lighting Sanitary Facilities in TU-Sofia,” mentored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Denitsa Marinova Zgureva-Filipova, Technical College – Sofia.
Georgi Nikolaev Balev (FETT)’s project “Test Stand for Low-Power Electric Motors for Vehicles GBVD,” mentored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vladimir Vladimirov Dimitrov, FETT.
Diyana Ivanova Kostadinova (SF)’s project “PorTUgal,” mentored by Dimitar Borislavov Manov.
Yordan Alexandrov Mladenov (FT), Martin Nikolov Grozhev (FETT), and Stefan Dimchev Dimitrov (FA)’s project “Development and Construction of a Test Stand for a Jet Engine,” mentored by Chief Asst. Dr. Dimitar Georgiev Gintchev, FT.
Kiril Borisov Matev and Mario Dinkov Markov’s project “Innovative Software for Finding Parking Spaces,” mentored by Assoc. Prof. Vurbinka Stoyanova, FCST.
Viktor Bozhidarov Mladenov’s project “Innovative Mobile Application for Personalized Fitness Training,” mentored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Stefanov Stankov, FCST.
Desislava Dinkova Tomova, Semiha Hüseyinova Süleymanova, Margarita Georgieva Miteva’s project “Development of Technology for Producing Gluten-Free Bread with Olive Pomace-Enriched Leaven,” mentored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gyore Nakov, College – Sliven.
Simona Balinova Bancheva and Donika Ivanova Ivanova’s project “Production of Dairy Sour Dessert Enriched with Pomegranate Seeds,” mentored by Prof. Dr. Nastia Vasilieva Ivanova, College – Sliven.”
