Rules and deadlines

All students of the TU – Sofia or students from the schools of the TU – Sofia are eligible to participate in the hub competitions. They can participate alone with a mentor or in a team of several students and a mentor. The mentor must be on a primary employment contract with the university. The students, with the active support of the mentor, design a project funding proposal, which is submitted by the mentor through the university’s electronic system. The project proposal includes: a description of the innovative solution with a brief presentation of the current state of the problem (up to 2500 characters), the planned activities (up to 1200 characters), arguments for the requested funding, a schedule for the implementation of the activities, a specification of equipment, materials and consumables, which are expected to be purchased under the project, an expenditure plan for promoting the work on the project (for example, participation in competitions, forums, etc.). Project proposals are evaluated by expert committees in two stages – based on documents and through interviews.
