Rules and deadlines

In the Students Innovation Hub competitions, all students of the Technical University of Sofia, as well as pupils from TU-Sofia’s affiliated schools, are eligible to participate. Participants may apply individually with a mentor or as part of a team consisting of several students/pupils and a mentor. The mentor must be employed at TU-Sofia under a full-time employment contract.

The project proposal is developed by the students/pupils with the active support of the mentor and is submitted entirely electronically by the mentor  through the e-TUS system, with the submission being carried out by the mentor. The application form includes:
• a description of the innovative solution and a brief overview of the current state of the problem,
• planned activities and a timeline for implementation,
• the required equipment, materials and consumables,
• a detailed cost specification and justification for the requested funding,
• a plan for dissemination of the project results (e.g., participation in competitions, forums or conferences).

Project proposals are evaluated by expert committees in two stages:

1. assessment of the submitted documents, and

2. an interview with the project team.
