Students from the 2024 Session of the “Student Innovation Hub” Presented Their Projects at a Conference in Sozopol
On June 19, 2024, students from the Technical University of Sofia presented their innovative projects at the university’s Recreation Center in Sozopol. The event, which took place for the second consecutive year, was part of the V International Youth Conference “Engineering Infrastructure and Competitive Business,” bringing together established scientists and young researchers.
Among the students who showcased their innovations and entrepreneurial spirit were:
- Georgi Nikolaev Balev (FETT) with the project “Stand for Testing Low-Power Electric Motors for Vehicles GBVD.”
- Bilyana Mario Genova (MF) with the project “Biosphere for Plant Cultivation.”
- Stefan Dinchev Dimitrov, Yordan Alexandrov Mladenov, and Martin Nikolov Groshev with the project “Development and Construction of a Stand for Testing a Jet Engine.”
- Margarita Georgieva Miteva (College-Sliven) with the project “Development of Technology for Producing Gluten-Free Bread with Sourdough, Enriched with Olive Pomace.”
- Simona Balinova Bancheva (College-Sliven) with the project “Production of a Yogurt Dessert Enriched with Pomegranate Seeds.”
- Branimira Vasileva Markova (EMF) with the project “Prototype of a Micro-Hydro Turbine Generating Energy for Lighting Sanitary Facilities at TU-Sofia.”
All students performed excellently and impressed the audience, consisting of other students and university representatives. Among the attendees were Prof. Lidia Galabova, Vice-Rector for International Activities and Integration, and Assoc. Prof. Elitsa Gieva, Vice-Rector for Research. The hall applauded the future engineers for their innovative ideas and hard work. The demonstrations of the prototypes presented by the students also made a strong impression.
The event highlighted the importance of young talents and their role in the future of engineering infrastructure and competitive business. These innovations and entrepreneurial projects show that the future engineers of the Technical University of Sofia are well-prepared to meet the challenges of the modern world and contribute to the development of society.
